Delta and Starwood offer Crossover Rewards

Delta Starwood Crossover RewardsStarting March 1, 2013, SPG and SkyMiles are taking elite travel to new heights with a revolutionary new benefit: Crossover Rewards. Earn Starpoints and get extra benefits when you fly with Delta; earn miles and enjoy added hotel benefits when you stay with SPG. This changes everything.

Crossover Rewards benefits are in addition to the current Starpoints and miles earned as a member of each program, making elite benefits even richer. Here’s how it works:

Benefits when you fly: SPG Platinum and Gold members earn 1 Starpoint for every dollar spent on eligible Delta flights. Plus, SPG Platinum members enjoy elite benefits when traveling with Delta, such as priority check-in, Priority Boarding and first checked bag free.

Benefits when you stay: SkyMiles Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver Medallion® members earn 1 mile for every dollar spent on eligible room rates at over 1,100 Starwood hotels and resorts globally. Plus, SkyMiles Diamond and Platinum Medallion members receive additional SPG benefits at Starwood hotels and resorts — 4 p.m. late checkout, access to the SPG elite check-in line, complimentary in-room Internet access and an upgrade to an enhanced room at check-in, when available.

How can I register for Crossover Rewards?Starting March 1, 2013, if you are an active SPG® Member and have an active Delta SkyMiles® program account, you may register to participate in Crossover Rewards through or Phone registrations will not be accepted.

Who is eligible to register for Crossover Rewards? An active SPG Member who has a Delta SkyMiles program account under the same name is eligible to register for Crossover Rewards, except for members who (1) are registered for the SPG Airline Direct DepositSM (ADD) program with an airline other than Delta; or (2) have an SPG Employee-level account.

How many miles will I earn for an Eligible Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel? If you are registered for Crossover Rewards and are a Delta Medallion member, in addition to earning Starpoints for Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels, you will earn one Delta mile for every one U.S. dollar or its foreign equivalent spent on Eligible Rates (e.g., room rates [excluding taxes and charges]) during your Eligible Stay. No Delta miles will be awarded for other Eligible Charges (e.g., food and beverage charges, laundry, valet) during an Eligible Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel.

If I am registered for Crossover Rewards, how many Starpoints do I earn for an eligible Delta flight? If you are registered for Crossover Rewards, are a SPG Platinum or Gold elite member, and you book a Delta marketed and operated flight (excluding bookings made through online travel agencies, e.g.,,,,,, then in addition to the miles you already earn, you will also earn: one Starpoint for every one U.S. dollar or its foreign equivalent spent on Delta fares (excluding taxes and fees); or 500 Starpoints for special Delta fares, often referred to as unpublished fares, including but not limited to consolidator fares, tour, groups, merchant marine and cruise packages.
