What to Pack for Vacation

travel packing checklist suitcasePacking can be one of the least pleasant parts of a trip. A travel packing checklist showing what to pack for vacation can make your vacation run much smoother. No more “did you remember to pack my tooth brush” questions at the airport. Or “guess what I forgot to pack” when you arrive at the hotel.

Over many years and many trips, I’ve put together a lengthy checklist that I’m happy to share with fellow travelers. Pre-trip, print it out, check off item, and you’re good to go. Some items won’t be needed on every trip, like the Yellow Fever Certificate. Just cross those items off your list.

If traveling by air, check with your airline for baggage restrictions. Make sure that items in your carry-on comply with current restrictions. With the current suitcase regulations, try taking the bear minimum. Try packing mix-n-match clothes made from fabric that is easy to wash and doesn’t wrinkle easily.

This list doesn’t (yet) cover traveling with a pet or children.

Let me know if I’m missing anything!
